SONGS? TWO!

The group are allowed to play TWO songs on 'Late Night With Conan O'Brien' - that's one more than Badly Drawn Boy the night before...

BLUR and BADLY DRAWN BOY were musical guests on the hugely popular US talk show ‘LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O’ BRIEN’ on consecutive evenings last week.

Badly Drawn Boy played out Thursday night’s show (November 9) performing current US single ‘Once Around The Block’, while Blur appeared the following evening (November 10) breaking with show tradition, which usually only allows one song, by playing two tracks.

Blur, in the US only to play former Simpsons writer O’ Brien’s show as promotion for the Stateside release of their greatest hits package ‘Best Of…’ (November 21) played ‘Music Is My Radar’ and ‘Song 2’. On their current single they were joined by three female backing singers as well as a conga player, while they reverted back to their recognised four-piece format for show closer ‘Song 2’.

O’Brien’s show has grown in popularity since it’s inception seven years ago, and some commentators now pitch as a favoured talk show viewing over Jay Leno and David Letterman.
