They're to be the first rock band ever to play The Elephant & Castle Coronet, made famous by Charlie Chaplin...

BLUR have announced details of an end of year show.

The band, who tour the UK throughout November and December, will play at the new 2,000 capacity London Elephant & Castle Coronet on December 5.

The venue was opened in 1910, first as a theatre which played host to Charlie Chaplain and then as a cinema. Now refurbished as a 2,200 capacity venue, Blur will be the first ever rock band to grace the stage.
