AND THEN THERE WERE FIVE

Bassist Alex James reveals that the band will need two guitarists to play their new material live...

BLUR are going to have to recruit “two guitarists” to make up the hole left by GRAHAM COXON.

The band are currently in a London rehearsal room, working through various songs that feature on their new album. Writing on www.blur.co.uk, bassist Alex James said that they are now looking for more musicians in addition to their core of himself, Damon Albarn and Dave Rowntree, so that they can play the album live.

“So we’re going to need quite a big band to play this album,” James wrote. “Probably two guitarists. The search is on. It’s actually easier to learn to play the guitar yourself than to find a guitar player, but there you go.”
