BLUR bassist ALEX JAMES is taking part in this year’s CLERKENWELL LITERARY FESTIVAL, which aims to bring a rock’n’roll spirit to literature.

The star joins garage music veteran Billy Childish and cult science broadcaster Johnny Ball to discuss the role of play in creativity. Other events include rock survivor KLF and novelist Martin Millar recounting tales of sordid sex, debauched drug taking and Led Zeppelin worship. Music maverick and [a][/a] mastermind Bill Drummond will be leading the seminar “Is God A C**t?”

The festival runs from July 16-21, with most events taking place at The Tardis Studios, Turnmill St, London. For full ticketing and scheduling, [url=] click here.
