A singles compilation is expected to be in the shops later this year...
Blur are set to release a ‘GREATEST HITS’ album later this year.
They are set to meet with their bosses at Parlophone over the next few weeks to discuss what should be included in the package – particularly in the light of the fact that a box set of all their 22 singles to date were released less than a year ago.
An insider told nme.com that the project was more the record company’s idea than the band’s, and that the concept had been toyed with for some time.
At present, there’s no title for the album, nor any tracklisting.
Blur are currently taking a ‘year off’, though they play at Scott Walker’s London Royal Festival Hall Meltdown Festival on July 2.
