Metronomy, The Horrors, Drenge to support Blur at Hyde Park

Blur will top the bill at Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time on June 20

Metronomy, The Horrors and Drenge are among the acts set to join the bill as Blur headline this year’s Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time at London’s Hyde Park on June 20.

Jupiter & Okwess International, Roots Manuva, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Teleman, Iris Gold, Fufanu and Sugarmen will also play. Tickets go on sale at 9am today (February 27).

Blur last performed live in the UK at their last Hyde Park gig in August 2012, a gig that coincided with the end of the London Olympics. The band have also confirmed that they will release a new album, ‘The Magic Whip’.

In other British Summer Time Hyde Park gigs, The Who will perform alongside Paul Weller, Kaiser Chiefs and Johnny Marr on June 26, with Taylor Swift set to play the festival one day later on June 27. Kylie Minogue tops a bill featuring Chic and Grace Jones on June 21.
