Hole‘s new single ‘Malibu’ is released on January 18, the second single taken from ‘Celebrity Skin’, a lush Fleetwood Mac-style west coast anthem.
The other tracks on the EP – which will be released in the UK only, are live versions of ‘Celebrity Skin’ and ‘Reasons To Be Beautiful’, recorded on Later With Jools Holland, and a cover of Bob Dylan‘s ‘It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue’.
Hole are about to set off on a tour of Australia and New Zealand, though they play a special unplugged accoustic show on Saturday, January 9 at the Viper Rooms in Los Angeles. The tickets are $200 and profits go to Centre For Living, a nonprofit organization which teaches yoga and meditation.
No UK dates are planned, though the band are strongly tipped for summer festival headlining appearances.
Is $200 a bit steep for a Hole gig? Is it a bit steep when they’re too cheap to even plug in their guitars? Have your say. Post a message on Angst!
