COLDPLAY, DAVID GRAY, U2, S CLUB 7, and BOB THE BUILDER are amongst the nominations for this year’s IVOR NOVELLO AWARDS.

This year’s awards take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on May 24, and are regarded as one of the most prestigious ceremonies recognising British songwriting talent.

In the ‘Best Song Musically And Lyrically’ category, Coldplay‘s ‘Trouble’ is nominated alongside David Gray,’s ‘Babylon’ and S Club 7‘s ‘Never Had A Dream Come True’.

Elsewhere, in the ‘Best Contemporary Song’ category, U2‘s ‘Beautiful Day’ single is nominated, as is ‘Seven Days’ by Craig David and ‘Please Forgive Me’ by David Gray.
