The plucky chart-topper did it once with the mighty 'Can We Fix It' - and his golden streak is set to continue...

BOB THE BUILDER‘s version of ‘MAMBO NO. 5’ is an early contender to knock BLUE from the top of the UK single charts, according to experts.

The pre-teen animated favourite, voiced by comedian Neil Morrissey, releases a cover of the Lou Bega chart topper today (September 3).

According to a chart expert at Virgin Megastore in London, it is a contender to knock Blue’s ‘Too Close’ from the top spot after just one week.

She said: “There are a lot of good new releases this week, but we think it will be a contest between Bob The Builder and Supermen Lovers.”

Supermen Lovers also release a new single, ‘Starlight’, today.

Other new single releases which are likely to be high chart entries this Sunday (September 9) include Macy Gray‘s ‘Sweet Baby’, Spiritualized‘s ‘Stop Your Crying’, Fatboy Slim‘s ‘Ya Mama’ and Staind’s ‘It’s Been A While’.
