Bobby Brown was rushed to hospital after being taken ill in prison in ATLANTA during the early hours of yesterday (January 21).
The nature of the 33-year-old singer’s illness was not disclosed, but it was confirmed that paramedics took him to Grady Memorial Hospital from DeKalb County Prison, where he was nearing the end of an eight-day sentence, at 3.30am.
Bobby Brown, who is married to Whitney Houston, was serving an eight-day prison sentence after pleading guilty last week to drunk-driving and speeding charges dating back to 1996. He was also banned from driving for a year, and ordered to serve 24 months’ probation, plus 240 hours’ community service.
He was due to be released today (January 22).
