The preview of the forthcoming film - which is set for release here in October - follows on from a teaser clip which arrived back in May

The latest trailer for the upcoming Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody has been released – check out the dramatic new clip below.

The film, which stars Mr. Robot actor Rami Malek as the late Freddie Mercury, is set for release in the UK on October 24 and will chronicle the 15-year period between the band’s formation and their famous performance at Live Aid at Wembley Stadium in 1985.

The synopsis for Bohemian Rhapsody reads: “The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music.

“In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like a family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.”

Following a teaser trailer which gave fans a first glimpse of the forthcoming film back in May, a new and official trailer has arrived today (July 17) – see it below.

The film has been written by Anthony McCarten – but its original director, Bryan Singer, was fired towards the end of filming in December 2017 and replaced by Dexter Fletcher, who helmed the biopic for the remainder of filming and in post-production.
