Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and James Blake to perform live together in 2016

Vernon will also play with The National's Aaron Dessner at his Wisconsin festival this summer

James Blake and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon look set to team up again, five years after their ‘Fall Creek Boys Choir’ collaboration, for a live performance.

Vernon’s second Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival has sent its early-bird ticket-buyers a cassette of b-sides, demos and home recordings from a selection of the lineup’s acts, with one of the tracks, ‘Untitled 2’, listed under the moniker Fall Creek Boys Choir.

The festival takes place on August 12-13 in Vernon’s hometown, Eau Claire, WI. According to the tracklisting of the cassette, Vernon will make three appearances – once with James Blake, once as Bon Iver, and once with The National’s Aaron Dessner.

Others to appear include Nathaniel Rateliff, and Arcade Fire members Richard Reed Parry and Sarah Neufeld.

In July last year Blake confirmed that both Kanye West and Justin Vernon would appear on his third album. The Mercury Prize-winner has still not announced a release date for ‘Radio Silence’.

“I can confirm that they’re on it,” he told Esquire, adding that was collaborating with West on the material.

“Kanye – I’m with him today. We’d already started on something… today we should nail something down. If it doesn’t end up on the album you know it hasn’t worked.”

West and Vernon have been linked with Blake in the past, with the rapper describing Blake as his “favourite artist” in 2014.

Blake also confirmed in the article that psych-pop musician Connan Mockasin will also feature on the LP.
