Bon Iver announce first live dates of 2016

Band will perform in Asia next February and March

Bon Iver have announced their first live dates of 2016.

The band, fronted by Justin Vernon, have kept live shows to a minimum in 2015 with Vernon going on record as saying he had no plans to release another album under the Bon Iver name.

Bon Iver have not released an album since ‘Bon Iver’ came out in 2011 and Vernon claimed last year that he may never create music under the name again.

However, overnight a series of live shows in South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Philippines and China were announced. See below for full dates and venues.

Bon Iver’s only live date of 2015 came at the Eaux Claires festival this summer. They played new material at the festival, which featured artists such as Low, Sufjan Stevens, Spoon and Polica on a line-up curated by Justin Vernon and The National‘s Aaron Dessner.

Check out the two untitled new songs, which were caught on camera. Watch fan-shot footage below.

Vernon previously stated that the band’s Eaux Claire performance would signal ‘new life’ for Bon Iver
