The event will take place in his hometown of Eau Claire, Wisconsin next July
Bon Iver‘s Justin Vernon is set to host his own festival.
The Eaux Claire Music And Arts Festival will take place next summer on Foster Farm in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, which is Vernon’s hometown, reports Paste.
The 25,000-capacity event will take place from July 17-18, 2015 and feature acts playing on two stages and in one large tent. Vernon will curate the festival line-up himself, but no artists have been announced for the event so far.
Vernon revealed a new Bon Iver song earlier this year. ‘Heavenly Father’ featured on the soundtrack to Zach Braff film Wish I Was Here. ‘Heavenly Father’ was the first new Bon Iver material from Vernon since his self-titled 2011 album. It appeared on Braff’s Garden State follow-up alongside songs by The Shins, Cat Power and Coldplay, who collaborated on the title track, ‘Wish I Was Here’.
