Bon Iver‘s Justin Vernon has teased two new songs, titled ‘Shittiest Day In America’ and ‘Thoughts On People 1’.
The musician curated a festival now known as PEOPLE Festival in Berlin in 2016. The event, which was previously known as the Michelberger Music event, will return in August.
A photo showing a list of songs and creators has now appeared on PEOPLE’s Twitter page. On the list are two tracks credited to Vernon – ‘Shittiest Day In America’ and ‘Thoughts On People 1’. Elsewhere, the list also shows separate contributions from The National‘s Aaron and Bryce Dessner, Poliça, and Big Red Machine – Vernon’s collaboration with Aaron Dessner.

PEOPLE Festival will take place at Berlin’s Funkhaus between August 18-19. It will feature over 150 artists participating in performances, workshops, collaborations, and more.
Earlier this year, Vernon debuted new music at a special collaboration with TU Dance, a contemporary dance company. He played an unfinished score alongside a dance performance at the Massachusetts Museum Of Contemporary Art in March ahead of the official premiere last month (April 19) in St Paul, Minnesota.
Meanwhile, the musician’s debut album ‘For Emma, Forever Ago’ turned 10 last year. Vernon celebrated the anniversary with a special “smoke-free” show in Michigan, and with a special edition vinyl repressing.
