Bon Jovi to go on hiatus after world tour

High-earning rockers say they'll 'need a couple of years off'

Bon Jovi are planning to take hiatus for at least two years when their 2011 world tour ends.

The band, whose world tour includes four UK stadium dates in June, have said they will take a lengthy break when the tour finishes in Lisbon in July so fans “appreciate” them more.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, drummer Tico Torres said: “Sometimes you need to get away so people can appreciate you better. The best thing I can tell you is we’re going to need a couple of years off for sure.”

The New Jersey rockers had the highest-grossing tour of 2010 and released a new compilation, ‘Greatest Hits – Ultimate Collection’, last year too.

They band will headline London‘s Hard Rock Calling festival in June.
