The Streets, Lauryn Hill and Prophets of Rage to headline Boomtown 2019

The eclectic festival will return to Hampshire in August

The Streets, Ms. Lauryn Hill and Prophets of Rage have been confirmed as the headliners of Boomtown 2019.

The eleventh edition of Boomtown will take place from August 7-11 in Matterley Bowl, Hampshire, with an impressive and eclectic line-up having been assembled by organisers for this year’s event.

The majority of the bill for Boomtown 2019 has been released today (February 8), with Hill, Prophets of Rage and The Streets all headlining. They’ll be joined by the likes of Chronixx, Chase & Status, Groove Armada, Slaves and UB40 in performing at the festival. Check out the full line-up poster below.

“It’s by far the most eclectic and diverse lineup we’ve ever had, and we’re insanely excited about having so many completely different artists, who are at the top of the genre they represent, all together on the same bill,” a statement from Boomtown reads. “It feels like a true privilege to be able to introduce everyone to a huge amount of totally different music from all over the world and the entire spectrum of musical tastes.”

Even more unannounced acts have been promised by organisers – individual district line-up announcements will now be made every Friday and Tuesday from February 15.

Tickets for Boomtown 2019 (which are priced from £239 plus fees) are on sale now. You can find them and more information about this year’s festival here.

Lauryn Hill’s headline slot at Boomtown will come ahead of two already-scheduled outdoor UK gigs this summer. She’s also been tipped for a slot at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
