Lynch reckons the band would have eventually cracked the States because "Americans love Paddies"...

Former BOYZONE member SHANE LYNCH has blasted RONAN KEATING, laying the blame for the band’s disintegration firmly at his feet.

Today’s (August 3) Sun newspaper quotes Lynch as saying: “I was looking to the future and it didn’t happen. It’s Ronan’s fault, no one else’s. We all wanted to do America so all four of us [other band members Keith Duffy, Stephen Gately and Mikey Graham] feel like this. I just hope I never run into him again. I will put him down so hard. One day the Devil will visit him.”

He said he believes the boyband would have made it in America because “We’re Paddies, man. Americans love Paddies.” And he says that the four other members would have attempted to go it alone if they had known that Keating no longer wanted to be part of the band.

“We all decided to take a year out… He said he was going to do a solo album then come back to do our tour. If we had known he wasn’t coming back we could have got on with our lives. That’s why I’m pissed off.

“He’s still saying we could get back together and tour. But as far as I’m concerned that’s never going to happen,” Lynch added.
