Brand New frontman Jesse Lacey recently forgot his own lyrics at a recent show.
The Long Island band were playing a gig in Albuquerque, New Mexico earlier this month (April 21), with Lacey failing to remember the lyrics to their 2006 track ‘Millstone’. “Do you have the lyrics on your phone there?” the singer asked one fan, before suggesting that he needs to be bought a lyric book. The band recently announced a series of intimate UK shows in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow for June and larger dates in September in Manchester, London, Middlesbrough, Edinburgh and Dublin.
The live dates follow the news that the band shared their first studio recording from the band in six years earlier this week, with ‘Mene’ streaming online.

In 2013, Brand New cancelled their planned European tour, including their appearances at the Reading And Leeds Festivals. The band announced their decision to call off the shows via a statement citing “insurmountable personal issues” as the reason behind the cancellations.
