The band look set to follow up 2009's 'Daisy'
Brand New have played a new track live at a show in Denver, Colorado last night (April 8).
The Long Island band have been working on their fifth album recently, following on from 2009’s ‘Daisy’.
Performing at the Filmore Auditorium in Denver, Jesse Lacey and co previewed their first new song in six years, thought to be called ‘Don’t Feel Anything’. Watch fan-shot footage from the gig below.
Yesterday, the band uploaded a new promo photo to their Instagram account, leading fans to speculate that a full album announcement is forthcoming.
Last June, a message on Brand New’s official website read “A lot has gone on the last few weeks. Some writing, some recording, some new gear, some studio building”.
In 2013, Brand New cancelled their planned European tour, including their appearances at the Reading And Leeds Festivals. The band announced their decision to call off the shows via a statement citing “insurmountable personal issues” as the reason behind the cancellations.
The full statement read: “Brand New regretfully announce that due to insurmountable personal issues, they have been forced to cancel their August European tour including appearances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals. Sincere apologies to everyone we are letting down.”
