Killers frontman releases second solo album 'The Desired Effect' in May
Brandon Flowers has revealed new solo track ‘Still Want You’ ahead of the release of new solo album ‘The Desired Effect’.
The Killers‘ frontman will release his new solo album ‘The Desired Effect’ on May 18. The LP features guest appearances from Pet Shop Boys’ Neil Tennant, The Killers’ Ronnie Vannucci and Haim singer Danielle Haim. Flowers recently told the NME he wants to hear songs from the album on the radio, even if he admits that he finds commercial music in 2015 to be a “weird world”.
“I want to be on the radio,” Flowers said. “I’ve never been ashamed to say that. I can’t believe where radio has gone. It seems to be such a weird world now. Where once I seemed to fit in, now I’m seen as a little different. I used to be considered mainstream, but now I’m almost avant-garde or art rock compared to what’s on the radio.”
The tracklisting for ‘The Desired Effect’ is:
‘Dreams Come True’
‘Can’t Deny My Love’
‘I Can Change’
‘Still Want You’
‘Between Me And You’
‘Digging Up The Heart’
‘Never Get You Right’
‘The Way It’s Always Been’
‘The Desired Effect’
Brandon Flowers will play five UK shows in May. The dates are as follows:
London Brixton Academy (May 21)
Manchester Academy (24)
Edinburgh Usher Hall (25)
Leeds O2 Academy (26)
Birmingham O2 Academy (28)
