Killers frontman will now play two nights at O2 Academy Brixton
The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has added an extra London date to his forthcoming UK tour in May.
The Killers frontman will play an additional date at the O2 Academy Brixton after the first one sold out in just one minute this morning (March 27). The new gig falls on May 22.
Flowers will also play solo dates in Manchester, Edinburgh, Leeds and Birmingham from May 21, having released his second solo album, ‘The Desired Effect’ on May 18.
The singer performed his new single ‘Can’t Deny My Love’ on US TV earlier this week (March 23), The Killers’ frontman also played a show in his hometown of Las Vegas on March 21 and at New York’s Webster Hall on March 24.
Flowers recently told the NME he wants to hear songs from his new solo album on the radio, even if he admits that he finds commercial music in 2015 to be a “weird world”.
“I want to be on the radio,” Flowers says. “I’ve never been ashamed to say that. I can’t believe where radio has gone. It seems to be such a weird world now. Where once I seemed to fit in, now I’m seen as a little different. I used to be considered mainstream, but now I’m almost avant-garde or art rock compared to what’s on the radio.”
Brandon Flowers will play:
London Brixton Academy (May 21-22)
Manchester Academy (24)
Edinburgh Usher Hall (25)
Leeds O2 Academy (26)
Birmingham O2 Academy (28)
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday (March 27), with a fanclub presale available from Wednesday 25 March. To check the availability of Brandon Flowers tickets, click here.
