It's the formers Beach Boys maestro's first new material for six years - and he gets some heavyweight help...

BRIAN WILSON is teaming up with a host of rock legends for his first solo album of new material in six years.

Beach Boys genius will release ‘Gettin’ In Over My Head’ on June 22 in the US, which features collaborations with Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Elton John and ‘Smile’ collaborator Van Dyke Parks.

Also appearing on the album, will be the duet ‘Soul Searchin’ featuring Wilson’s late brother and fellow [a][/a] Carl. Brian added his vocals to an existing track to complete the song.


Tracks expected to appear on the record include ‘City Blues’, ‘Desert Drive’, ‘How Can We Still Be Dancin’?’, ‘The Waltz’ and ‘A Friend Like You’.

According to Rolling Stone, Wilson will be debuting songs from ‘Gettin’ In Over My Head’ on a European tour this summer.
