Bruce Springsteen performs Beach Boys songs live with Brian Wilson – watch

Wilson was playing a show in Holmdel, New Jersey on Wednesday (July 1)

Bruce Springsteen joined Beach Boys songwriter Brian Wilson onstage at the latter musician’s New Jersey show on Wednesday (July 1).

Wilson was performing at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, with Springsteen collaborating with the singer for Beach Boys classics ‘Barbara Ann’ and ‘Surfin’ USA’.

Springsteen last performed with Wilson in 2007, again performing in New Jersey as well as covering those same two tracks.

Brian Wilson recently announced the postponement of his upcoming UK tour, pushing back a series of dates to 2016 due to work commitment to new biopic film Love And Mercy.

A press release confirms that Wilson will tour the UK and Europe next year for the 50th anniversary of seminal Beach Boys album ‘Pet Sounds’, with the series of shows being billed as the musician’s “final European tour”.

Wilson says: “I’m sorry I won’t be able to make these shows this year, but I look forward to seeing all my fans in 2016 to help me celebrate 50 years of ‘Pet Sounds’. This will be my final European tour. I hope you all enjoy my movie when it opens in the UK on July 10, I’ll see you all soon. Best, Brian”.
