Band to play Sheffield Leadmill on November 9
Bring Me The Horizon are set to play a free gig next week in their Sheffield hometown.
The band will appear at the Vans store in Sheffield on Wednesday November 7, where 350 pairs of tickets will be handed out for a gig later that week (November 9) at Sheffield Leadmill. The exact time of their appearance will be announced on the Vans Facebook page.
Bring Me The Horizon recently named their forthcoming fourth album ‘Sempiternal’. The LP, which is set for release in 2013, is the follow-up to their 2010 album ‘There Is A Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret’.
Speaking about ‘Sempiternal’ earlier this year, guitarist Jona Weinhofen said: “Lee [Malia – guitar] and I are listening to a lot of post-rock lately. It might sound strange, but we listen to this laid-back, epic music and think ‘If this was heavy – if we made metal out of this kind of music – it would be exactly what we want to sound like”. You can watch a trailer for the album below.
The event, which is being put on by the promoters of the US punk travelling festival Warped Tour, will take place at London’s Alexandra Palace on November 10.
Also on the bill are New Found Glory, Less Than Jake, Architects, 3OH!3, Man Overboard and over 10 other acts.
The line-up for Vans Warped Tour UK so far is as follows:
