Kasabian have been named best British Group at the Brit Awards 2010 tonight (February 16).
Taking to the stage at Earls Court in London to collect their award, Tom Meighan slipped over, remaining on the floor before getting up to receive the award.
“I wanna thank everyone who’s responsible,” Meighan said, before declaring, “All I can say to anyone is you cannot make an omelette without breaking some eggs!”
Meighan then stayed onstage while host Peter Kay introduced the next award for International Breakthrough Act.
Earlier this evening the band put in an energetic performance of their single ‘Fire’, surrounded by flames.
The acts nominated for British Group were:

JLS
Kasabian
Muse
