British Sea Power are to lift another track from new LP ’OPEN SEASON’ as a single next month.

’Please Stand Up’, the follow-up to Top 20 smash ’It Ended On An Oily Stage’, is released on May 7.

The band will celebrate the release by playing three UK shows. As previously announced on NME.COM, the band will be playing a one-off show with pal Ed Harcourtin London.

Both acts will appear at The Scala on May 25 as part of the Bud Rising Festival, which is taking place in London throughout May.

As previously reported, the event features of established acts including The Bravery, Dizzee Rascal and Supergrass, playing on line-ups they’ve picked themselves, plus a series of showcase gigs. See NME.COM’s original story for more details.

[a][/a] also appear at the Orange Evolution Festival at Newcastle University on May 24, while on May 27 they will play the Electrowerkz in north London, at a club night hosted by the Adventures In The Beetroot Fields gang.
