British Sea Power cap off ‘best year’ with unique show

The band play tiny pub gig

British Sea Power rounded off a year of unusual gigs with a unique date at London club In The Pines recently.

The band have played some off venues around the world this year in support of second album ‘Open Season’, but enjoyed the comforts of a Sunday roast in a pub.

“We’ve been lucky enough to play at a variety of venues this year – a village hall in the Lake District, a tree-house near Oslo, a shipyard in Barrow, caves in Cornwall and Long Beach supporting our old friends The Killers,” recalled guitarist Noble.

“Then it occurred to us that we hadn’t yet played the most important venue of all, a small London pub. What better end to end the best year of our lives so far?”
