The track will feature G-Eazy
Britney Spears looks set to go hip-hop on her new single, after rapper G-Eazy said he features on an upcoming track from the singer.
G-Eazy told German magazine Bravo: “I feature on Britney’s comeback single ‘Make Me (Oooh)’. But we haven’t filmed the video yet because we’re both so busy.”
‘Make Me (Oooh)’ was originally due out in May, but has been put back to “sometime in summer”. The single is Spears’ first since her Iggy Azalea collaboration ‘Pretty Girls’ in 2015.
As well as Izalea, Spears has previously worked with several rappers, with Nicki Minaj remixing Spears’ 2011 single ‘Till The World Ends’ and T.I. on the songs ‘Tik Tik Boom’ and ‘Gimme More’. Snoop Dogg also appeared in the video for her 2003 single ‘Outrageous’.
Californian rapper G-Eazy has supported Lil Wayne and Snoop Dogg, while his single ‘Me Myself And I’ reached No 7 in the US.
Spears’ new album, her first since 2013’s ‘Britney Jean’, is expected later this year. Since ‘Britney Jean’, she has begun a residency at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood hotel which is currently scheduled to run until the end of 2017.
It’s rumoured that ‘Make Me (Oooh)’ was originally going to be premiered when Spears played the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (May 22), but instead she performed a medley of hits. She last played the UK in 2011 touring her ‘Femme Fatale’ album.
