Singer says 'enough is enough' in TV documentary
Details of a new Britney Spears documentary have been released, and it reveals that the singer is frustrated and unhappy living under the terms of her new life.
The singer says “there’s no excitement, there’s no passion” in her life, and that she feels trapped in a situation in which she has no control.
“Even when you go to jail, you know there’s the time when you’re gonna get out. But in this situation, it’s never ending. It’s just like [the movie] ’Groundhog Day’ every day,” she says, according to The Sun.
Spears’ father Jamie took over as conservator of her estate earlier this year, after the singer went through a very public emotional breakdown which involved erratic behaviour such as shaving her head and attacking a photographer’s car with an umbrella.
In the interview, which will air on MTV on November 30, Spears says that she feels as though she has no voice in her new life, and that she is unable to move on as she has no control.
“I think it’s too in control. If I wasn’t under the restraints I’m under, I’d feel so liberated. When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear, but they’re really not listening. If you do something wrong in your work, you can move on, but I’m having to pay for a long time.”
She is currently gearing up for the release of her new album ‘Circus’, which comes out December 2.
