Britney Spears’ attorneys seek to drop her as a client

They say they want out

Britney Spears‘ attorneys are reportedly attempting to drop her as a client.

The singer’s law firm, Trope and Trope, filed a motion today (January 2) in Los Angeles Superior Court asking to be relieved of their duties as Spears‘ counsel.

According to CelebTV.com, the motion said, “There has been a breakdown in communications between Petitioner and Trope and Trope making further representation of her interests impossible.”

Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline have been fighting over custody of their two sons, Sean Preston (2) and Jayden James (1), for several months.

Federline has temporary custody of the boys because Spears has repeatedly violated court orders.

The next court date in the custody case is set for January 25. Meanwhile, the hearing to determine whether Trope and Trope can be relieved of their duties is set for February 4.
