Britney Spears’ bodyguard makes further drugs claims

Tony Barretto says Spears is 'out of control'

Britney Spears‘ former bodyguard has made further claims over the singer’s alleged drug taking.

As previously reported on NME.COM, the singer was ordered to undergo random drug testing in the custody battle for her children by a US court after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott M Gordon said Spears displayed “a habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol”.

Her former bodyguard Tony Barretto also accused the singer of developing “nudity, drug and safety” issues after she left her rehab centre in March.

Now Barretto has shed further light on the issue. He told the News Of The World: “I gave evidence to the court because Britney is out of control and needs help.

“I have done this for her children. She’s not a good mother. She has mental problems. With her drug and booze issues, her home is no place for kids to be raised.

“I hope this will be wake-up call to her. I like Britney. All I want is for her to be a success and a good mum.”

Barretto started working for Spears after her rehab treatment but said he was fired on May 17 after he failed to hear her order “to pick up her hat”.

His comments come shortly after the pop star was charged with hit-and-run and driving without a valid licence.

Spears could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if she is convicted.
