Sebastian Ingrosso denies involvement in Britney Spears single ‘Work Bitch’

Former Swedish House Mafia producer was believed to have worked on popstar's new single

Former Swedish House Mafia producer Sebastian Ingrosso has denied that he worked on Britney Spears‘ new single ‘Work Bitch’.

The single is due to premiere tomorrow (September 17) but leaked online over the weekend (September 15), two days before its official release. The track is taken from Spears’ forthcoming eighth studio album with the singer posting a picture on Instagram (see below) revealing that she co-wrote the song along with and songwriters Otto Jettman, Ruth-Anne Cunningham and Anthony Preston as well as Ingrosso.

However, Ingrosso has spoken out to deny his involvement and claimed that his name was on the list by mistake. Explaining that it is Otto Jettman, better known as Otto Knows, the former Swedish House Mafia producer told Billboard: “I don’t really know why they put my name in there. It’s a really good song and I’m looking forward to what’s going to happen with it. But I can’t really take credit for it.” Ingrosso manages Jettman and says he often gets involved with making music with his client.

Speaking about how the song came about, Ingrosso added: I’m good friends with He called me up and said ‘I’m doing Britney’s new album, do you have any beats for me to write on?'”

Last month, Charli XCX confirmed that she has written and submitted a new song for Britney Spears forthcoming new album. “I’ve been doing some writing for the Britney record. I was freaking out. I didn’t even want to go to the session I was so excited. I was so worried I would fuck it up,” said the 21-year-old.

She added: “I was doing some stuff for that yesterday actually. Who knows how it will go. We’ve written one song and it’s a great track and if she likes it then amazing. It was just an honour to be asked.”

As well as and Charli XCX, Spears’ collaborators on her forthcoming album, the follow-up to 2011’s ‘Femme Fatale’, include Naughty BoyDev Hynes aka Blood Orange, William Orbit, and Sia.
