BRITNEY SPEARS‘ backing band are planning to kick off rehearsals for an autumn tour in September, according to one of the group.
Speaking during a webchat on the pop princess’ official site, guitarist Skip Dorsey said that rehearsals begin on September 8, although Britney herself will not be present initially.
Bassist Freddy Mollings said that “she’ll be working on the dance moves first, before we see her. She’ll probably pop in a little later while we learn the songs.”
sonicnet.com reports that, according to her label Jive, the dates have yet to be finalised.
Her new album, which is being kept largely under wraps is slated for release early in November, and includes a cover of Joan Jett’s ‘I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll’.
