HOMETOWN HOMAGE TO BRITNEY

The homage to the pop queen should be up-and-running next year...

Pop Queen Britney Spears‘ chart success is to be marked in her hometown with the opening of a museum in her honour.

The idea was conceived by Sandy Reed and Kathy Bryan, a resident and local councilwoman of Kentwood, Louisiana, and will feature all sorts of memorabilia collected throughout Spears‘ relatively short career.

A complete wing of the existing Kentwood Museum will be given over to Britney. There will be displays about her childhood, her days as a Mouseketeer on the Mickey Mouse Club and a gift shop. Reports from the US indicate that Spears parents have already donated some her childhood dresses.

Residents of the town, population around 2,600, hope the Britney Spears Museum will be up and running by early next year.
