Bruce Springsteen to reissue deluxe version of classic album

The Boss readies remastered 'Darkness'

Bruce Springsteen is reportedly preparing to reissue his classic 1978 album ‘Darkness On The Edge Of Town’ as a deluxe box set.

The package will be similar to the one released in 2005 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of ‘Born To Run’. It will include a remastered version of the record, as well as a documentary film.

Springsteen‘s manager Jon Landau told Billboard that preparing the package “would involve remastering that record, doing the kind of super-creative reconstruction and documentary of how it all came about and finding usable live footage from that point in time”.

Meanwhile, The Boss is gearing up to perform during the Super Bowl’s XLII half-time slot on Sunday (February 1), as previously reported.
