The Boss models AC/DC's marketing scheme
Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have announced that they will release a greatest hits collection exclusively via Wal-Mart next month.
The album is due out on January 13 and will feature 12 tracks that focus on Springsteen‘s recordings with the E Street Band, and skips over non-E-Street albums including ‘Nebraska’ and ‘Lucky Town’.
The Boss and his band are mimicking AC/DC‘s strategic marketing scheme, which saw the veteran rockers reach the top of the charts.

‘Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)’
‘Born to Run’
‘Darkness On The Edge Of Town’
‘Dancing In The Dark’
‘Born in the U.S.A.’
Meanwhile, Springsteen is gearing up to release his new album ‘Working On A Dream’ in the US on January 27. He will also perform at the Super Bowl half-time show on February 1 in Tampa, Florida, as previously reported.
