‘RISING’ STAR!

The star goes round the globe to promote hios first LP in seven years...

Bruce Springsteen has announced details of a world tour that will kick off in NEW JERSEY on August 7 and run through into next year.

The tour, promoting his forthcoming new album ‘The Rising’, will arrive in Europe on October 14, running through until the 27th, though no venues have yet been named. He’ll then return to the US for further shows, winding up back in his native New Jersey on December 13. Billboard reports that there are plans to take in Australia, as well as a further swing through Europe during 2003.

‘The Rising’ is released in the UK on July 29. It will follow in the US on July 30. It’s Stateside release will be marked by a rare TV appearance and interview on the networked ‘Today’ show. The show will come live from the boardwalk in Asbury Park, New Jersey where Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform live in the city’s Convention Hall.
