Rolling Stone also reports that Springsteen called for his band and the Australian crowd to join in a ‘giant group twerk’ during the four-hour show. “Let’s twerk!” shouted the singer during the finale, reports Billboard, who writes that the band “wiggled their butts at the audience”. During the gig the band also played the frontman’s 1973 album ‘The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle’ in full. As at their previous show in Melbourne, they were joined onstage by Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder to cover AC/DC‘s ‘Highway To Hell’.
Following the release of Springsteen’s new album ‘High Hopes’, which recently became Springsteen’s 10th UK Number One Album, he will put out a special Record Store Day release. This will take the shape of a 12-inch vinyl EP ‘American Beauty’, consisting of four new songs from the ‘High Hopes’ sessions.
