Bruce Springsteen to guest on ‘Desert Island Discs’ next month

The singer-songwriter will appear on the long-running BBC Radio 4 show on December 18

Bruce Springsteen will be a guest on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs programme next month.

The acclaimed programme, which sees host Kirsty Young joined each week by a guest who is asked to name eight recordings, a book and a luxury item that they would take with them on a desert island, will welcome the New Jerseyan a week before Christmas.

Airing on December 18, Springsteen said of his track choices that “this is the music that electrified me – they galvanised me into changing my life in some way.” (via BBC News)

A photo from the recording has since emerged on social media, which you can see below.

Desert Island Discs, which was first broadcast in 1942, has this year welcomed the likes of Tom Hanks, Bill Gates and Michael Bublé onto the programme.
