Bryan Ferry teams up with Johnny Marr and Nile Rodgers on new track ‘Driving Me Wild’

New album 'Avonmore' will be released on November 17

Bryan Ferry has collaborated with Johnny Marr and Nile Rodgers for a track from his new solo album ‘Avonmore’.

With it recently confirmed that Roxy Music have officially split after a three-and-a-half year period of inactivity, ‘Driving Me Wild’ is now streaming at NPR.

The album itself will be released on November 17 and also includes a reworked version of ‘Johnny & Mary’, as heard on Todd Terje’s ‘It’s Album Time’ earlier this year.

The record was produced by Bryan Ferry and Rhett Davies and mixed by Craig Silvey (The Horrors, Arcade Fire, The National).

In addition to Marr and Rodgers, who are billed as appearing “throughout” the album, ‘Avonmore’ has contributions from Flea, Ronnie Spector, Mark Knopfler and Maceo Parker. As well as the cover of ‘Johnny & Mary’, originally by Robert Palmer, the album includes a cover of the classic Stephen Sondheim-penned ‘Send In The Clowns’.

‘Avonmore’ tracklist:

‘Loop De Li’
‘Midnight Train’
‘Soldier Of Fortune’
‘Driving Me Wild’
‘A Special Kind Of Guy’
