The K-pop band’s seventh studio album is released on April 12, following on from their ‘Love Yourself’ project – ‘LOVE YOURSELF: Answer’ and ‘LOVE YOURSELF: Tear’ were both released in 2018.

The news comes just a day after the band shared the first teaser video for their new collaboration with Halsey, ‘Boy With Luv’, which will also appear on their new album.

The teaser followed the first taste of ‘Map Of The Soul: Persona’, which was released on March 27. The comeback trailer featured the song ‘Intro: Persona’, performed entirely by the band’s leader RM. The video also referenced BTS’ past work, harking back to the comeback trailer for their 2014 album ‘Skool Luv Affair’.

‘Map Of The Soul: Persona’ follows BTS’ last album trilogy, the ‘Love Yourself’ series, which was released between 2017 and 2018. ‘Love Yourself: Tear’, the second album in the series, was nominated for a Grammy for Best Recording Package.

BTS will return to the UK in June when they will play two sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium. The dates follow their debut UK performances last October, when they performed for two nights at London’s The O2.
