The group celebrated with the legendary artist as she accepted the Inspiration Award at the event. They themselves took home a number of awards, including Artist of the Year.
The band later met Jackson backstage, where they shook hands, chatted and posed for a photo together. You can see the adorable moment below.

The full list of nominees was announced back in October, before being whittled down to the final list. Other acts being inducted include Radiohead, The Cure, Stevie Nicks, Roxy Music, Def Leppard, and the Zombies.
To be eligible to enter the hallowed hall, an artist’s first commercial records need to have been released 25 years ago, in 1993.
Elsewhere, BTS have announced a new concert film. Shot at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul during the group’s ‘LOVE YOURSELF’ world tour, the film will allow fans to see the spectacle of the band’s unprecedented international success.
The event will screen across the world for one day only – Saturday 26th January, 2019. For the UK, only Vue’s West End cinema in Leicester Square will be showing the film.
Writing of the news on Twitter, the group shared a description of the film: “Experience on screen the jaw-dropping and thrilling performance of the Seoul concert that marked the grand opening of the tour!”
