Busta Rhymes will appear in the remake of the 1971 blaxploitation film Shaft. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Busta Rhymes will play John Shaft‘s sidekick Rasaan, a character not in the original. The film is being directed by John Singleton. The film stars Samuel L. Jackson as black PI John Shaft.
Rhymes and Singleton worked together previously on the 1995 film Higher Learning.
There are also reports that Busta Rhymes is creating a cartoon series with Missy Elliott.
