The pair dated for 15 months before their break-up earlier this year. Following their split, Harris and Swift were embroiled in a high-profile dispute over writing credits on Harris’ song ‘This Is What You Came For’.
Harris’ new track ‘My Way’ features his own vocals and the lyrics: “Why wait to say, at least I did it my way / Lie awake, two faced / But in my heart I understand / I made my move and it was all about you / Now I feel so far removed”.
The chorus sees Harris singing: “You were the one thing in my way”.
Following its release, fans have been speculating that the lyrics refer to the former couple’s split. See a collection of tweets beneath.

Listen to Calvin Harris’ new single ‘My Way’ below.
Speaking to IHeartRadio, Harris has said of the track: “[The] song’s kind of about breaking out of a situation that you thought was a good thing. Then, you’re way more comfortable out of it. And it could be anything. It could be a job, or it could be a relationship. I had kind of the idea for the concept for a few years, but I didn’t know how to work out how it sounded.”
Following their public feud, Swift was later credited officially on Harris and Rihanna hit ‘This Is What You Came For’ following reports that she co-penned the track under a pseudonym.
It previously emerged that Swift worked on the song with Harris under the pseudonym of Nils Sjoberg. This was confirmed by the singer’s rep and later by Harris, who took to Twitter to write: “She sings on a little bit of it too… Amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual,” before adding, “I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym”.
However, the BMI online database now lists Swift as a ‘Songwriter/Composer’ on the track under her birth name. It also lists the pop star’s Taylor Swift Music company as publishers alongside Sony/ATV Tree Publishing, who handle Harris’ publishing.
