‘Motion’ will be released on November 3 and is the follow-up to the Scottish DJ and producer’s 2012 album ’18 Months’. Yesterday (October 5), Harris confirmed a list of artists he has collaborated on the record with, saying Haim have recorded a song with him.
In addition to the US band, Harris has worked with No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani and rapper Big Sean. He has also teamed up with Theo Hutchcraft of Hurts and Ellie Goulding on two songs, having worked with both vocalists in the past.
Harris’ Facebook message confirming the guests on ‘Motion’ reads: “There’s a new track with Ellie Goulding, a new track with Ummet Ozcan called ‘Overdrive’, a new track with Big Sean, a new track with R3hab called ‘Burnin’, a new track with Tinashe, a new track with HAIM the band, a new track with Firebeatz is on there, another brand new song with Hurts, a new track with All About She. Also Gwen Stefani is on my new album ‘Motion’. And there’s a couple more with me singing.”
Last month, Harris was been named the highest paid DJ in the world for the second year in a row. THe topped Forbes’ Electronic Cash Kings list after it was revealed he had earned $66 million (£39,800,000) between June 1, 2013 and June 1, 2014. The list’s compilers take into account earnings from record sales, live shows, merchandise, endorsements and “external business ventures”.
