Gig-goers were evacuated from Camden Roundhouse last night (24 February) during Annie Mac‘s ‘Annie Mac Presents’ gig.
It was the AMP Sounds Closing Party, with artists like Disclosure, Ghetts and Mabel due to perform.
Attendees were evacuated around 8.30pm after a fire alarm sounded.

Journalist Hayley Minn tweeted: ‘We’ve all just been evacuated from Roundhouse Camden. Anyone know why?’
She then tweeted a video of the crowd outside, waiting to be let back in.

However, attendees were let back in not long after, with Annie’s tweet suggesting the evacuation took place during Ghetts’ set: ‘The party is back on after a slight blip – basically @THEREALGHETTS was too good and we had to evacuate the building.’

Gig-goers report that Annie herself came on stage to let them know ‘everyone is safe and there is noting to worry about’.

The Roundhouse tweeted at 9.19pm: ‘The venue has been reopened and tonight’s AMP gig has restarted following a false alarm. Thanks everyone for your cooperation and patience.’

However, one attendee tweeted their disappointment at having left after allegedly being told the venue wouldn’t reopen, saying: ‘Will refunds be available? Despite it reopening we were told it was gonna close?’

The police are unaware of the incident, which happened after a fire alarm was triggered. It’s not known whether it was done as a prank or on purpose.
The rest of the night went without a hitch.

Meanwhile, Annie Mac has called on people to stop using their phones at gigs, after noticing the increased usage during her High 5 tour, having not toured for two years due to her pregnancy.
“Everything had to be recorded on people’s phones, or they were asking me to take selfies,” she says.
“It was constant phones in my face.”
