Camila Cabello reveals what she’s learnt from touring with Taylor Swift

"She's got this gift of talking to the whole crowd".

Camila Cabello has praised Taylor Swift‘s on-stage relationship with her fans, after she headed out on a huge global tour with the ‘Reputation’ singer.

The ‘Havana’ star is currently the leading support act on Swift’s stadium tour – which is set to hit the UK for a string of dates next month.

Speaking to NME at BBC Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend, Cabello revealed how she was in awe of Swift’s ability to constantly hold the stadium-sized crowds in the palm of her hand.

“I love the way she talks to the crowd”, Cabello told NME.

“She plays stadiums of 60,000 people every night, but she’s got this gift of talking to the whole crowd like she’s talking to one person in a room.”

And while Cabello might not be playing stadiums just yet, it’s a target that is firmly in her sights.

“I mean it’s every artist’s dream”, she explained.

“I feel like I have a good way to go before I get there, but there’s a lot of fun in the journey.”

Camila was also full of praise for Pharrell Williams,  after the pair recently collaborated on summer banger ‘Sangria Wine’.

“It was so much fun”, she said of working with Williams.

“I’m just so happy that Sangria Wine is finally out because we had that song in our pockets for a little bit of time and it felt like the perfect time to drop it.”

Describing her first UK festival experience at The Biggest Weekend, she added: “Coming into festivals can be really intimidating because you don’t know what’s gonna happen because it’s not really your fans.

“But it was really fun, the crowd was super into it and they were just really welcoming and cool. It makes me really excited to come back to the UK.”
