Cardi B announces separation from Migos’ Offset after a year of marriage

"Things just haven't been working out between us for a long time and it's nobody's fault."

Cardi B has announced her separation from Migos rapper Offset, only one year after the pair tied the knot.

The couple, who are parents to four-month-old daughter Kulture, secretly married in September 2017. Their marriage was only later revealed by Cardi B in June 2018.

In a frank Instagram video from last night, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper confirmed her split from the Migos star, but stressed that they remained firm friends.

“So everybody been bugging me and everything and you know, I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now and we’re really good friends and you know we’re really good business partners,” Cardi B explained.

“He’s always somebody that I run to to talk to and we got a lot of love for each other but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time and it’s nobody’s fault.”

She continued: “I guess we grew out of love, but we’re not together anymore. I don’t know. It might take time to get a divorce and I’m gonna always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father and yah.”

Commenting on the post, Offset later wrote: “Y’all won.”

The confirmation of their split comes only days after the pair were seen at 102.7 KIISFM’s Jingle Ball concert at the Forum in Los Angeles, where Offset joined Cardi for a loved-up performance.

Meanwhile, Offset last month confirmed that he plans to release his solo debut record on December 14, following in the footsteps of his bandmates Quavo and Takeoff, both of whom have already put out their own records in 2018.
