Cardi B axes joint tour with Bruno Mars

Harlem rapper is staying at home with her baby daughter

Cardi B has pulled her forthcoming tour dates with Bruno Mars following the recent birth of her daughter.

The Harlem rapper was due to join the final set of live dates for the ’24k Magic’ world tour with Cardi set to feature as a special guest.

The pair became close collaborators last year with Cardi guesting on a remix of the Mars’ hit ‘Finesse’. The two artists also performed the track live at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Kicking off in Denver on September 7, Mars and Cardi were set to tour together in North America through to the end of the jaunt – which concluded with a four-night stint at the Staples Center in LA from October 23-27.

But after the recent birth of her baby girl Kulture, Cardi has announced that she won’t be joining the tour.

“I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that six weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically,” she wrote in a tweet.

“I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing.”

Mars responded with his own message, writing, “We love you Cardi and we will play ‘Bodak Yellow’ every night in your honour.”

Earlier this month, Cardi announced the birth of her daughter with Offset with a Beyoncé-style picture.

Cardi and Offset were recently revealed to have secretly gotten married in September – one month before the Migos star proposed onstage in Philadelphia.
